To support the planning application for a sustainable urban extension to the southwest of Leominster, Herefordshire. The site comprises approximately 1,600 new homes, a primary school and associated infrastructure.

The Brief
Love Design Studio developed a high-level Resource Audit to shape early design decisions and embed circular economy thinking from the start. We reviewed existing site conditions to find opportunities to reuse soils and materials and identified ways to reduce embodied carbon across the masterplan.
We set simple, practical principles to guide design, construction and procurement. This focused on resource-efficient materials, reducing waste and improving reuse and recycling throughout the development.
The Result
The Resource Audit provides a clear sustainability framework to support the outline planning application and meet Policy SP1 requirements. It gives the project team practical guidance to maximise resources, minimise waste and adopt a more circular approach as the scheme develops.
